Living and working close to the beach, some members of our Wave House team decided to visit Venice Beach on a recent Sunday to help clean up.
“We come here several times a week to enjoy the views and great weather, so it made complete sense to come and help improve the look and safety,” says Juan Alvarez, Founder and avid surfer.
In addition to help grab any garbage, Wave House also helped get the word out about responsible management of trash, sharing about the differences between compost, recyclables and landfill products.
“Sometimes it just takes education,” Kelly, Juan’s wife and Co-Founder of Wave House shares. “I think taking that extra step, whether it’s in the bigger impact of keeping a beach clean or your entire community, always starts with feeling empowered.”
